Questions,
answered.

Everything you need to know about Dissolves™, how the format works, what's inside, how to build a routine, and what Real Dose Labs can and cannot promise.

The Format
What is a Dissolves™?

A Dissolves™ is a thin film designed to sit on your tongue and dissolve without needing water or swallowing a tablet or capsule. Each film contains a clearly stated dose of the nutrients listed on its product page.

Do I need water?

No. The film is designed to dissolve on your tongue, so there is no water bottle or glass needed.

What happens after the strip dissolves?

The film dissolves in saliva. A portion may pass through the oral lining into circulation, while the remainder is swallowed and follows the normal digestive route.

Is this the same as a tablet or capsule?

No. The nutrients can be familiar, but the delivery format is different. Dissolves™ are designed around removing water, swallowing, capsule shells and the need to carry a bottle.

What if I accidentally swallow the strip?

Don't take another one. If the film is swallowed, the swallowed portion simply follows the normal digestive route.

The Science
Why use an oral format?

The oral lining has drainage into general circulation, which can allow some compounds to avoid first-pass processing through the liver. However, this does not mean every ingredient is absorbed this way.

Does dissolving faster mean the nutrient works faster?

No. A film dissolving quickly is primarily a format and convenience feature. It should not be presented as proof that a nutrient works faster.

Is everything absorbed through the mouth?

No. Absorption depends on the individual ingredient and factors such as chemistry, molecule size, lipophilicity, contact time and saliva. Some of the material may be absorbed orally while some is swallowed and follows the digestive route.

Is a Dissolves™ always better than a tablet or capsule?

Not necessarily. The format is designed to solve practical problems such as needing water, swallowing pills and carrying bottles. If those things are not a problem for you, a conventional tablet may work perfectly well.

Does Real Dose Labs claim 100% absorption?

No. Real Dose Labs does not claim that every nutrient is fully absorbed through the mouth or that nothing reaches the digestive system.

What You're Actually Buying
What does "Real Dose" mean?

It means knowing exactly what you're taking, how much you're taking, why it's there and what it won't do.

Every active ingredient and its dose is disclosed on the product information. There are no proprietary blends.

Why was Real Dose Labs created?

The idea is simple: people often stop taking supplements because of everyday friction — water, swallowing, carrying bottles or simply remembering.

Real Dose Labs focuses on removing that friction while keeping the formulation and dosing transparent.

What's inside the current products?

The current range includes a D3-focused formula combining Vitamin D3 with Vitamin K2, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and boron, and a B-complex formula containing all eight B vitamins with zinc and L-theanine.

Exact ingredient amounts are shown on the individual product pages.

Are the doses meaningful?

The formulations use a mixture of full reference amounts and deliberate top-up amounts depending on the nutrient.

For example, the D3 product provides 600 IU of Vitamin D3, while the B-complex provides 2.2 mcg of Vitamin B12. Other nutrients are intentionally provided below their full reference value.

Taste & Sweetener
Do Dissolves™ contain added sugar?

No added sugar. The formulation uses erythritol and stevia in small amounts.

What flavours are used?

Real Dose Labs uses natural flavours. The D3 Dissolves™ has a natural orange flavour, while individual product pages provide the flavour information for each product.

Will it taste like medicine?

The intention is for the flavour to be brief and approachable, rather than tasting like a conventional medicine. Taste perception can naturally vary from person to person.

Routine
When should I take a Dissolves™?

Whenever it fits your routine. The products are designed to be taken without water and can generally be used with or without food.

Taking the D3 product with a meal containing fat is a reasonable preference because the included nutrients are fat-soluble.

What if I forget a day?

Take your next usual dose when you remember. Do not double up to compensate for a missed day.

Can I eat or drink after taking one?

Once the film has fully dissolved, you can continue with your normal routine.

Can I take the D3 and B-complex together?

Yes. The two formulas are designed around different nutrient combinations and do not duplicate their main active ingredients.

Can I take these with a multivitamin?

Check the ingredient label of your existing multivitamin first, particularly for overlapping B vitamins or zinc. If you take prescription medication or have a medical condition, check with your healthcare professional.

Travel & Storage
Can I travel with Dissolves™?

Yes. The format is designed to be portable and easy to carry in a wallet, bag or travel kit.

How should I store them?

Keep the box closed and store it somewhere cool and dry, away from direct heat, sunlight and humidity.

Can I keep them in the bathroom?

It is better to avoid humid locations such as bathrooms. Keep the box away from steam and moisture.

Who Should Check First
Can everyone take these?

These products are formulated around adult reference values. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking prescription medication or managing a medical condition, check with your doctor or healthcare professional before using them.

What about Vitamin K2 and medication?

Vitamin K2 is relevant for people taking certain medications, including warfarin. If that applies to you, speak with your healthcare professional before using the D3 formula.

Are the products suitable for children?

The current formulations are based on adult reference values. For children, check with a paediatrician before use.

Certifications & Transparency
Do you show what is actually in each product?

Yes. The aim is to show the active ingredients and their amounts clearly rather than hiding them inside proprietary blends.

What is the difference between a raw-material certificate and a finished-product report?

They verify different parts of the product journey. A raw-material document relates to an ingredient or input, while finished-product testing relates to the final product.

Relevant documents will be displayed on the Lab Reports & Certifications page once verified and approved.

Where can I see the testing and certification information?

Verified documentation will be made available through the Lab Reports & Certifications section of the website.
